Spring Beauties

I think these are my favourite spring wildflowers.
They are called spring beauties, and I have always thought that was a rather lame name. I mean, there are dogtooths or trout lilies, and trilliums, and bloodroots all around them, and they are simply spring beauties...
I am not denying that they are gorgeous, mind!
I am linking this post with Today's Flowers. feel free to drop in and enjoy the blossoms from around the world!

Hi,Judy. Nice captures. I am very pleased that you know very well about wild flowers.
Japanese wind flowers are white color only. Dog tooth violets are purple color and white( very rare).
I enjoyed your post very much. Thanks for sharing.
